Seminyak.

The home to hustle and bustle, humidity, beautiful shops and a forever growing cafe scene. This place is constantly blooming, with new hidden gems popping up around the place every time we visit. Seminyak cafes seem to have the art of brunch down pact, as well as perfect coffees to wash it all down with.

Our recent trip to Seminyak was filled with ample breakfasts and brunches, and none of them disappointed. With impressive food also came equally as impressive interiors, and super friendly staff. Love a triple threat.

Below I’ve compiled a list of 12 of my favourite Seminyak cafes that dish out the best brunches, coffees + sweet treats. Keep in mind there are plenty missing from here- 9 days just wasn’t enough time to cover them all.
Happy brunching!

Revolver Cafe

Hidden in an alleyway, Revolver Cafe is known for it’s strong lattes, cracking brunch menu and even better interior. The staff are super friendly, the vibe is upbeat and fun and the food is just ridiculously good. Brekky and brunch lovers will love the endless options- from smashed Avo to buckwheat pancakes, with even better liquid options including smoothies and fresh juices. They also have a rocking lunch menu and do a mean iced coffee. Coffee lovers, do yourself a favour and don’t miss this beauty.

Sisterfields

A breath of fresh air in the heart of Seminyak. A stone throw away from Seminyak Square, Sisterfields is a foodie-photo takers dream come true. There’s splashes of Aqua, plenty of greenery, marble and beautifully designed menus. Expat Coffee is dished out by the barista, as well as T2 teas and some tasty Granitas and smoothies. There’s plenty of seating indoor and in the courtyard by the vertical garden, but be quick it tends to fill up rather fast. If your after something healthy then their bircher muesli and acai bowl is a no brainer, or for something for simple their smashed Avocado on sourdough with feta, capers and cherry tomatoes is fresh and delicious.

You can find Sisterfields at Jl Kayu Cendana, Bali, Indonesia 80361

Zucchini

Quaint, cosy and a blink and you’ll miss it type of place. But keep those eyes wide open- this is one place not to be overlooked. This open aired joint dishes up healthy fare and has a cracking breakfast menu- with even the little ones in mind. It’s only small, with long tables and benches with colourful chairs so be prepared to wait on weekends when this place fills up. They also have lunch covered dishing out paninis, healthy salads and vegetable pasta. Drinks wise there’s coffee (always), a range of hot teas, fresh juices and smoothies, all available in takeaway- I totally recommend escaping that Bali sun and dining in.

You can find Zucchini at Jl. Laksmana No. 49 Benoa Kuta Badung Bali Indonesia

Sea Circus

The best kind of circus is at the sea. Sea circus is impossible to miss, with its brightly coloured art donning the outside walls. The interior is just as cool- think plenty of artwork, quotes, herringbone white tables and a jazzy little bar area. These guys are known for their epic breakfast and brunches, but there’s also plenty for those looking for a lazy lunch or cheeky after 5 drink. They even cater for those carrying a hangover- their “Sin City” comes with the usual breakfast goods, as well as a espresso, oj, berocca shot, panadol & happy game.
For brunch we couldn’t go past the acai bowl and homemade granola with strong lattes (that come with the sweetest quotes) and a kombucha and fresh juice.

You can find Sea Circus at 22 Jalan Kayu Aya [Oberoi Rd], Seminyak, Bali.

Monsieur Spoon

Those with a sweet tooth unite- Monsieur spoon has got you covered with some of the best eclairs going around. They are a big player in the patisserie game, dishing out delicious croissants, eclairs and pastries all day long. If you’re after something a bit more substantial they whip out cooked breakfasts, eggs on toast and granola. My hot tip- stay for brekky. If you have time up your sleeve, but if you’re on the run grab an eclair- they are so damn good!

You can find Monsieur Spoon at Jalan Kayu Cendana no. 2 Oberoi (next to Seminyak Square)

Delicious food and a casual and cheery vibe is what you’ll find at Grocer and Grind. Whether you’re in Seminyak or Sanur you will find yourself close to one of these cafes. They are consistently dishing out delicious brunches or lunches depending on when you pop in. They also serve up fab smoothies, juices and great coffee- the perfect spot to stop and kick up the heels after a long walk in the Bali sun.

Cafe Organic

Believe the hype, this place is a healthy food lovers HEAVEN. It’s interior is a mix of bohemian and industrial (think marble tables, timber, beautiful textiles and the most gorgeous cactus artwork you’ll ever see). The food is vegetarian and impressive- think huge smoothie bowls, salads, big breakfasts and a juice and cold drinks list as long as your arm. Their coffee is excellent and the service is great- it’s true what they say, they’re the garden gangstas! I could devour their Smashed Avo and the Byron Sunrise juice 10 times over.

You can find Cafe Organic at Jalan Petitenget No. 99 X (Opposite the W Hotel)

Petitenget

Marble, a stunning outdoor dining area and a big brunch menu is what you’ll find at this gem. The staff here are super accommodating, the coffee is hot (and strong) and there’s plenty of seating for big groups and for those with kids in tow. They cover all bases when it comes to the menu- muesli, eggs or a simple (but huge) fruit salad. My pick- the 3 stack Blueberry and Coconut pancakes- topped with caramelised mango and strawberries, honeycomb, grated coconut and icecream. Believe me, you won’t regret it.

You can find Petitenget at Jalan Petitenget 40X Seminyak, Bali

Earth Cafe and Market

Looking for central hub for all things healthy? Then you need to get straight to the Earth Cafe. When it comes to breakfast they dish out all things delicious and good for you- think yoghurt, granola, vegetarian omelettes just to name a few. They also have lunch covered (salads, raw food), as well as a selection of raw treats and plenty of packaged and takeaway treats if you are on the run. My favourite thing from this gem is their fresh juices and smoothies- its seriously hard to choose from the menu but I’ll guarantee you’ll find one you’ll love!

The Fat Turtle

Quaint, cute and cosy and by far one of the best cafes in Seminyak. My visit to The Fat Turtle was a solo one, and I was well and truly looked after by the lovely staff. The coffee was great (no sugar needed), the menu is long with heaps of options and it’s a great place to people watch from out the front. I picked the a Red Velvet pancakes with cream cheese mousse, chocolate soil, honeycomb and vanilla icecream . Seriously, this was my favourite brunch in all of Bali. Huge call, but they were to die for. Other menu items include the brekky pasta and brioche french toast, as well as plenty of teas and juices to choose from. It’s a  must visit when you’re in Seminyak!

You can find The Fat Turtle at Jalan Raya Petitenget 886A– opposite Potato Head

The Library

Breakfast. Brunch. Lunch. Dinner. The Library covers it all. A super cool vibe and a sense of home is what this place dishes out, with a ridiculously long menu all at reasonable prices. The interior is fun and cheery, with their staff also matching the same vibe. There’s outside and inside seating, as well as a cool mezzanine level to escape the craziness of eat street. Apart from coffee, you can’t go past their smoothies. When it comes to food we had the Ko Loke- fried chicken and wedges, which were crispy and delicious.

You can find The Library at Kayu Aya Street, Oberoi, Seminyak,

Livingstone Bakery and Cafe

Technically not in Seminyak, but needs to be on the list. We caught a cab here (we were sick of walking) and it cost less than 20,000 rupiah- bargain. This space blew my mind- a massive industrial influence, a coworking space, bakery and cafe all in one. There’s plants galore, ample timber, a strong smell of coffee and a cake cabinet like you wouldn’t believe. The muesli and juices were devoured and the coffee, exceptional.  Even better are that the prices are very reasonable, especially for the cakes.
Once you’re done eating, wander on up to explore some beautiful products made by local artisans and try and not max out the credit card.

You can find Livingstone Bakery and Cafe at JL Petitenget No.88X, Kerobokan

Special mentions to Shelter Cafe and The Corner House– I have heard so many great things about these two cafes but 2 days of Bali belly prevented me from indulging. Mega sad face.

Have you got a favourite Seminyak cafe? One I need to know about? I’d love to know!
