Honeyfield Cottage in Robe- Cosy, romantic and absolutely gorgeous!

Called the ‘Ultimate Lovers Retreat’ on Airbnb, and for good reason, Honeyfield Cottage is super cosy and oh-so-romantic.

Tucked away on a property just 5 minutes drive from Robe, this 1850’s converted stone cottage is an absolute dream. As soon as we pulled up the drive surrounded by pine trees and with backyard of rolling hills with a few sneaky cows saying hello, I knew I was at my kind of place!

The dreamy vibes continued as soon as we walked into the sun filled courtyard- plenty of places to perch with a wine, and outdoor firepit and even a BBQ for when the weather is warmer. Our stay was chilly, so we headed straight indoors.

Inside was just a gorgeous as the outside, OK, it was WAY better. And the outside was pretty divine. A French inspired interior, a couch you will just sink into, a roaring open fire and plenty of exposed stone- it was HEAVEN. The king-sized bed was just a stone throw away from the fire, so you can lay in bed and watch it flicker as you fall asleep. Hello romance. Unless you’re like me and a dud at getting the fire going for more than a hour- so we cranked the reverse cycle. Whoops.

If you are looking for a home that you don’t want to leave for the weekend except for collection supplies (like wine and cheese), this is also the place for you. Even though its conveniently close to town, its also got a full functioning kitchen with convention oven, coffee machine and plenty of pots and pans to help you cook up a storm. We gave the cheese board and wine glasses a workout, but plan on cooking up a feast next time we visit- it’s the perfect place for a candlelight dinner.

The bathroom is also impressive, incorporating the stone and little hints of French charm. There’s a massive spa bath on offer, bath products and eclectic furniture- the perfect place to soak all the stress away.

We absolutely loved our stay at Honeyfield. It was beautiful, the attention to detail was next level and it oozed so much charm.

If you are looking for a place that ticks all the boxes for a mini vacay then this has got to be your next go to. We can’t wait to book our next visit back.
