Breath taking views, cracking platters and white, white wine.
You’ve found yourself at Pike & Joyce.
In the heart of Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills, Pike and Joyce is a big and beautiful cellar door, with panoramic views of the vineyards and rolling hills. There’s a huge outdoor area with lush lawns and plenty of seating for when the suns out, as well as a deck that soaks in every inch of the view.
When the weather is cooler then bunker down in the cellar door and dining area, but don’t worry, there’s huge glass windows so you feel like you’re outside amongst the vines.
When it comes to wine they have all bases covered, but whites are their specialty. Their savvy is an absolute winner, as is their fruity Pinot Gris. If you are a red wine drinker then you won’t be spoilt for choice- but when you try their Pinot Noir you won’t need another red. This one’s full of berry flavours and is a little too easy to drink.
Other than great wines this place is known for its outstanding food. On Monday through till Wednesday you’ll find the kitchen serving regional platters filled with fresh, local produce, cured meats and creamy cheeses. On our visit we opted for the vegetarian platter that was filled to the brim with haloumi, pickled and chargrilled veggies, bread and dips, and it was an absolute delight. From Thursday to Sunday lunch time their ala carte menu is an absolute treat, with entrees and mains changing regularly as new seasonal produce comes to hand.
Recent picks off the menu include Palm Sugar pork belly, Pan seared whiting and Chargrilled thyme and garlic marinated Kangaroo fillet- how can you stick your nose up at that.
This stunning venue also hosts weddings, functions and other events, so if you looking at somewhere to swoon your guests this is one place to pop on the list.
You can find Pike and Joyce at 730 Mawson Road, Lenswood
