10 ways to shop SA this Mothers Day
Mothers Day is quickly approaching which means I desperately start browsing the shops to find mum a gift. What to find the lady who seems to have everything?
I’ve done the googling for you this year so mums day has been made a sinch. Because lets face it. After buying mum years of birthday/christmas and other-occasions presents, we all run out of ideas.
Even better, all these businesses are South Australian, so if you order now you should get them just in time. The hardest bit? Not ordering all of them for yourself!
Potted wares from Bramble Pottery
I don’t know who gets more excited about pottery, but either way mum and I LOVE it and can never get enough of it. My mum would love anything from Bramble and when you see her wares you’ll know why. My goto’s are her plates/bowls, cups and stunning juicers.
Check them out on insta here or visit her pop up at Strath.
Scarf from Julie White
Who are the queens of wearing scarfs? Mums. However, this scarf from Julie White is for the cool mums. Or the mums that love a bit of colour. Or for people who just love scarfs. Julie’s scarfs are divine, designed in Australia and printed on 100% silk.

A high tea voucher for Tealicious in Willunga
If mum does a cuppa and something sweet then pop down and see Natasha from Tealicious and book a high tea or snap up a voucher. Mini handmade cakes, sandwiches and oodles of sugar filled delights- it’s the perfect way to spend the morning.

One Seed Perfumes
What mum doesn’t love to smell fabulous. One Seed Perfumes are natural and organic and made right here in Adelaide. The Organic Perfume Sample Discovery set is the best way for mum to find her ‘it’ fragrance. It contains 7 perfumes- each offering twenty-five applications. It’s wrapped perfectly which means you don’t need to have a fight with the sticky tape dispenser.

Adelaide Linen Tea Towel
Is your mum a proud South Aussie? If she is she will love this tea towel. And if she’s not, then she should love it none the less because the design is so damn cool. For $25 it’s a bargain and will make even the grimiest of dishes fun to dry.

Wine (duh!)
Mum’s love wine. Especially new mums (hello children that don’t sleep). My mum is a lover of red wine, so it seems to be a no brainer that a bottle is packed in with her pressie. Some of my go-to’s this year are Shanahan Wines ‘Old Dog Shiraz’, Tomichs ‘Pinot Noir’, Ashton Hills ‘Pinot Noir’ and Lobethal Road’s ‘2015 Bacchant Shiraz’- their cellar door is a family favourite and well worth visiting if you’re in the Adelaide Hills.
Wine Totes
If you have a winey-mum in your life, then she is going to need somewhere to store all that liquid gold when she’s on the run. Say hello to Vinotopias Wine Tote Bags. Enough room to store all your bits and bobs, as well as a few bottles of wine, all in a well made and tastefully designed tote. There’s a SA wine region version, as well as plenty of others if your mum is more of a ‘beach’ or ‘Aussie landmark’ kinda lady.

Dress up her ear lobes with Linda Marek Design
Do you have a fashionable mum in your life? Or a mum that’s got a key eye for design. Then she needs these earrings. I’m yet to be a mum but I’m definetly ordering some of these bad boys. These earrings are designed and made in South Australia, use natural materials and are reasonably priced (these are only $29.00). You can find her wares at Field Trip at Balhannah or order online.

Save the planet with Humblee Eco
My mums very eco friendly, so getting her these wraps is a no brainer. I’ve already bought her wraps before but there’s been issues with them keeping their stick. Recently i’ve come across some food wraps that keep there stick for AGES, are at a good price point, made in SA and have super cute designs (what more do you need). Humblee Eco is the way to go! Perfect for veggies, wrapping up left over cheese, bread- the list is long.
Save the planet and make your fridge look cute here.
A overnight stay
When mum isn’t into material things, why not treat her to a night away. My mums all about disconnecting, the great outdoors and anywhere with a deck to have a glass of vino.
Here’s where I would book mum a night or two-
Hideyhole at Ironbank– currently booked out but watch FB for new dates
The Top Shed at Blewett Springs
