Time to escape- a tiny house retreat in Bridgewater
If you are looking for the ultimate getaway in the Adelaide Hills, then I get your notebook out because I have the place for you.
The Tiny House in Bridgewater.
This pop up tiny house/glamping experience is located in the middle of the Adelaide Hills, just a stone throw away from Hahndorf and only a short drive from the centre of Adelaide. However when you drive up the long gravel driveway you’ll never know you’re so close to the hustle and bustle.
The Tiny House is set overlooking 5 acres of pasture, home to friendly cows you can feed in the mornings (so cool right?!) and fruit trees. The house consists of three 9 square metre rooms on top of a stained deck- a bedroom, a kitchen/dining room and bathroom.
The bedroom is so cosy you won’t want to leave- a queen size koala bed, soft linen, heating/cooling, dressing gowns and plenty of room for your luggage. There’s even yoga mats if you fancy yourself a bit of a stretch on the deck. There’s no TV, but when you see the stars at night and the jenga in the kitchen, it wont be missed.
The kitchen is equally as charming and has all the creature comforts you’d expect in a large home. There’s even a Nespresso machine, a bottle of wine and brekky provision’s- local Paris Creek butter, fresh eggs, South Australian yoghurt, bread and fresh berries. When we visited it was stinking hot, so to find Zooper Doopers in the freezer was a god send.
All the rooms have huge windows to take in the beautiful view- even the shower, so you feel like you’re showing outdoors. If you’re all for bathing outside then the outdoor bath is for you. I loved it and never wanted to get out! Sunken into the deck, it takes in the panoramic views of the pasture.
In winter they offer a fire pit, plenty of firewood and even the chance to use their projector so you can Netflix-and-chill under stars. I’m already looking to secure a booking before this pop up moves towns because that is the ULTIMATE date night.
If you want to book this beautiful abode, then you’ll find it here.
Big thanks and love to my bestie Julieanne who let us stay here on the second night when she couldn’t. Without her I would have never found this gem.
