Who doesn’t love a good juice?
Whether its a glass of freshly squeezed OJ, something sweet like pineapple or the forever popular green juice there’s something to satisfy everyone. I have forever been a lover of juice since I was a little tacker and that love has since blossomed (sorry to the enamel on my teeth for drinking 2 litres of OJ a day in high school).
So for all those fellow juicy-lucys who love a cup of liquid gold, I’ve collated a list of my go-to places to get a fabulous juice. If you aren’t a juice lover before this, you will be once you get stuck into these babies!
Have you got a favourite place to juice? I would love to know..
Agathas Cafe
1 Gawler Street, Port Noarlunga
A small cafe in the heart of Port Noarlunga, this little gem gives your the option to choose your ingredients for your own designer juice. The theme is always healthy, with a variety of fruit and veg to choose from like carrot, apple, ginger and orange to name a few.
Froth & Fodder
41 Mortimer Street, Kurralta Park
As much as I want to keep this place to myself it really does deserve the publicity. Friendly staff, great food and a excellent juice list. My favourites are the equatorial- watermelon, pineapple, orange and mint and the greener glass- apple, celery, cucumber, kale and parsley. They also have a great list of smoothies and thick shakes- good luck trying to resist the golden gaytime thickshake!
Maxwells Grocery
11 Old Coach Road, Aldinga
Hidden away in Adelaide’s south- Aldinga to be precise, Maxwells Grocery is a healthy foodies dream come true. They stock a huge range of organic and locally sourced vegetables and fruit, as well as local produce and home made food to eat in or takeaway. You can almost do your whole food shop here- Fleurieu cheese, meat and pasta included. They sell a mean green cold pressed juice full of locally grown kale, organic apple, orange and pineapple. And the best bit? It doesn’t taste healthy or green.
Patch Kitchen and Garden
143 Mount Barker Road, Stirling
Where do I start with this gorgeous cafe. It’s surrounded by trees, has a warm and eclectic plant focused interior and the kitchen dishes out great food using local ingredients. They have plenty of tasty treats for eating in or on the go and make a mean juice- my personal pick is the green juice with ginseng. You will struggle not to walk away from this joint without some form of food in hand (or stomach).
Pollen 185
4/185 King William Road, Unley
Good luck resisting the temptation to order everything on the menu. Lhis little cafe is full of personality and run by big hearted staff. The food is vegetarian so it’s no suprise that they have a rocking juice list. Sip on a concoction of pineapple, kale, cucumber, celery and ginger while you people watch or lust over their extravagant cakes. There’s even the option of having your chosen juice cold pressed or packed with a super greens booster for a small fee- these guys know how to do fruit and veg right!
Goodies and Grains (shop and kitchen)
Shop 21/22 Central Market Plaza, Gouger Street, Adelaide
If your in the Adelaide Central Markets and your looking for a place that sells fresh and bulk health foods then look no further than this haven for foodies. Here you can find almost any healthy thing you can think of- including their own bottled pressed juices. Give “The Sunrise” a whirl- a combination of beetroot, carrot, pineapple, orange and tumeric. It’s the ultimate pick me up.
The Fleurieu Pantry
18 Gawler Street, Port Noarlunga
If you’re after a cafe with your health in mind then this is has your name all over it- but just because they offer healthy options doesn’t mean they lack in taste. The food here is insanely good- there’s a reason I’ve been coming back here for years. The Fleurieu Pantry has also given birth to a new addition next door- ‘The Store’, where you can buy plenty of fresh produce and health food products. They offer lots of juice and smoothie options, with my go to being the Amazonian- a blend of organic mixed berries, acai, diced mango and orange juice.

Pure Press Juice
I discovered these juices at the Fleurieu Pantry in Southern Adelaide and what can I say, I’m hooked. A South Australian company based in Mile End with a focus on organic, cold press juices packed full of nutritional benefits. You can order the 475ml bottles online or pick up a bottle from your local stockist (see this link for locations). My must haves are the Sweet Green- Spinach, Kale, Red apple, Cucumber, Celery and a hand full of fresh mint and the Revive- Pineapple, Pear and Mint.

Pressed Juices
231 Rundle Street, Adelaide
The super popular juice company is here in Adelaide and I couldn’t be happier. My visits to the city don’t happen as often as I like, but when I do visit the city I make sure I stop past this little shop front. They stock freshly made cold press juices in a variety of flavours for every taste. My personal picks are the Antiox 2- Orange, Raspberry, Pomegranate, Turmeric, Greens 2- Spinach, Cucumber, Lettuce, Celery, Kale, Parsley, Apple, Lemon and Zest 2- Apple, Lemon, Mint, Pineapple.
Trouble and Strife
123 Goodwood Road, Goodwood
A relatively new addition to Goodwood Road, sporting a excellent brunch menu in a interior filled with cow hide, timber and blackboard paint. When it comes to drinks they have fabulous coffee as well as plenty of options in the smoothie front. My favourite is their green juice filled with spinach, apple, coconut water and mint- it goes perfectly with their smashed avo. YUM.
